best way to cook frozen hashbrowns...

first- cook up some bacon in a frying pan. you can do the whole pack or half.

second- set the bacon aside and dump the frozen browns in the bacon grease in the pan. [be careful of splatter!] i like to combine the shredded and cubed frozen hash browns.

third- cook. i usually turn it to 4 on the stove and cover with a lid for a while [15-20 minutes at least]. stirring occasionally. once the color of the browns is clearer then they were when frozen, turn the heat up.

fourth- i usually fry them for a little while for a nice crust.

sometimes i throw in a piece of half-cooked bacon cut up to cook with the browns. add some pepper and you're good to go. the bacon grease gives enough salt.
