Samson Simpson..named after Half-Baked
here are some in house pictures of Samson. him & tim get along really well! they wrestle & tim takes advantage of samson scratching his head, since it's hard for tim with only 1 leg. :) tim is actually the instigator with the two of them, even though he's half samson's size.

Tim Day..3 years with us!!!
3 years ago, Tim came into our lives with the help of strayer.
we LOVE tim and all his scampering ways.
strayer found tim in the dregs of albany while she was trapping cats for TNR. he dragged himself up to her. she realized his back leg wasn't working and had old wounds on it that didn't heal. she took him to her vet and they promptly took off the bad leg. here's a pic of him after surgery, recovering with strayer's love.
we contacted strayer to let her know we were interested in adopting "tiny" tim. her brother was so generous to donate the flight tickets with his miles for her & tim to fly south to us.
strayer stayed for a quick 2 hour visit. i was able to bring her to the beach to enjoy the sun for a minute.
tim has fit into out clouder perfectly! he is a little sausage now.

Blueberry has a home! Strayer needs a tooth!
just transfered my citibank balance to my other card. F those bitches
Blueberry got a home per strayer up at heartland yesterday. i hope it lasts forever! strayer lost a huge chunk of filling off a tooth earlier this week. that sucks balls! especially with no money and insurance from the gov't no one accepts.
anyone aware of good, low cost dental help in Northern Oregon?

beaker cat went home!!
another cat had showed up behind the apt a week or so ago. it was tiny, white with orange marks. very friendly & hungry! i've been giving him food while watching him get dirtier living outside. we were hoping to tame him enough to get inside at nites since it's gotten colder out now.
last nite, in the middle of the nite, i realized i'd NEVER checked craigslist about the lost cat. i knew it had been indoor since it was so clean initially. usually folks with indoor cats, don't have collars on them.
so i checked craigs today & found a post from 9/30 for the kitty! his name is Bean (we were calling him Beaker). the poster had 4 great pictures of him. i went outside & grabbed him, had N hold him in the cat room while i called the number listed. turns out she lives in our complex..but at the other end. she was hesitant at first, not wanting to believe it was bean. she'd been to the humane society 3x already & searched local parks & the parking lot too. i let her know, basedon the pictures on the post, i was pretty positive. she came over & was SO HAPPY!!!! it was bean.
i apologized for not checking craigslist sooner, since he would have gone home last weekend. but now i know!! no samson posting on craigs...but he's pretty much ours, staying inside most nites now.
here are the pics of bean/beaker from the craigslist lost ad:

i wanna talk to Samson & Blueberry still needs a home...
this is samson. he was dropped off in the grrenbelt behindour apartments a few months ago. it took a while, but we finally got him to come around for food. he was sooooo skinny. he has now been fixed & had his shots. he comes inside for a couple hours in the evening to hang out. everyone is getting along well. Tim LOVES having a new buddy. maybe someday he'll stay in over nite. he is super long & has huge paws, a total hunter. when he comes in for an hour or so in the evening, he flops out on the cat pillow as if he's never been able to relax in his life. hopefully we can get him in nites as it starts to get cold out here.
Strayer of cat eyes blogspot has fixed 30 cats in 3 days through clinics in n. oregon. that is FANTASTIC!!
help her out by making sure YOUR animals & neighborhood animals are fixed & overpopluation issues will stop!!! much fewer unwanted animals will be the result, and WHO could be against that???

Squirrel Friends.. aka Cat TV
the best part about our new place is the cats can sit at the back door & look out on the shared greenbelt. we've got crows, squirrels, robins, sparrows ect... Tim & Hooka are big fans. we haven't gotten peanuts in a shell yet for treats, so i've been using honey roasted peanuts. :)
